Step-by-step login (browser and app)
- Open the official site or your installed APK. Do not click login links sent in SMS, Telegram, or WhatsApp.
- Tap “Login” at the top-right of the home screen.
- Enter country code +91 followed by your 10-digit Indian mobile number (no leading zero).
- Enter your password exactly as set during signup. Passwords are case-sensitive.
- Solve the slider captcha if one appears (drag the puzzle piece into the gap).
- Tap Login. You should land on the lobby in under 5 seconds.
If you registered using OTP-only mode (no password), tap “Login with OTP” instead, and Daman will SMS a 6-digit code to your registered number. Enter it within 90 seconds.
“Daman login not working” — 5 real causes and fixes
1. Wrong country prefix or extra zero
The single most common login failure. India numbers must be entered as +91 9XXXXXXXXX (10 digits after +91, no leading zero). Some Android keyboards auto-insert “0” — delete it. Some users type their number twice (+91 91 9XXXX…) — that fails silently with a generic error.
2. OTP not arriving
OTPs are sent by Daman’s bulk SMS gateway, which gets throttled by Indian telecom DLT rules. Wait the full 90 seconds before tapping Resend. If you are on Jio with a poor signal, switch to Wi-Fi (the SMS still arrives — Wi-Fi just keeps the app session alive). 3. “Invalid password” loop

4. Blocked IP / “Too many requests”
If you’re behind a VPN, on public Wi-Fi (especially airports, college hostels), or share an IP with many other Daman users (PG hostels, internet cafés), Daman’s anti-bot layer may throttle the login. Switch to mobile data (4G/5G), turn off any VPN, and retry. Login almost always succeeds on a fresh mobile-data IP.
5. Fake login page (you typed credentials into a clone)
If your password “stopped working overnight,” and you previously used a login link from a Telegram channel or SMS, you almost certainly entered your credentials into a phishing clone. The real login still works — but your password may now be in someone else’s hands. Reset it immediately on the official site, then enable any 2FA option Daman offers.
