BOTTOM LINE
Daman refunds an unused deposit if you haven’t placed any bets and request the refund within 24 hours of depositing. Beyond that — once you’ve bet — there is no refund mechanism. Win or lose, the money is in play.
If you suspect a technical error (deposit didn’t credit, withdrawal failed but money was deducted), that’s a different process — submit a support ticket with the transaction ID.
The 4 refund scenarios

Scenario 1: Deposit didn’t credit to wallet
You sent UPI to Daman, the money left your bank, but your wallet didn’t update. Common cause: UPI processing delay. Wait 30 minutes — most clear in that window. If still not credited:
- Open Wallet → Transaction History → look for the failed/pending entry.
- Submit a support ticket with subject “Deposit not credited” and the UPI Reference Number (UTR) from your bank app.
- Standard resolution: 24–72 hours. Money either credits to wallet OR refunds to your bank.
Scenario 2: You deposited by mistake, haven’t bet yet
You can usually request a “deposit refund” within 24 hours of depositing if no bets have been placed. The refund goes back to the original UPI handle. Process:
- Settings → Wallet → Refund Request (or via support ticket if no UI option).
- Specify amount and reason.
- KYC must be complete — refunds go to the verified UPI only.
- Processing: 24–72 hours.
The 24-hour window is firm. After 24 hours from deposit, no refund — even if you haven’t bet. The platform considers the money “yours to play with” past that point.
Scenario 3: You’ve already placed bets
No refund possible. Winnings are yours to withdraw (subject to KYC + wagering rules). Losses are losses. The “refund” question becomes “can I withdraw my remaining balance” — which is just the standard withdrawal process. Withdrawal guide here.
Scenario 4: Withdrawal failed but balance reduced
Your wallet shows the withdrawal as deducted, but the money never arrived in your bank. The platform owes you that money — it’s NOT a refund situation, it’s a failed transaction.
- Wait 24 hours — UPI/IMPS sometimes settle late.
- If still missing, gather: withdrawal request ID, status (Approved/Paid), the UPI handle the money was sent to, your bank statement showing no incoming credit.
- Submit support ticket with subject “Withdrawal credit not received — payment trace request”.
- Platform initiates a payment trace via NPCI (24–72 hours). Money returns to your wallet OR credits to your bank.
What’s NEVER refundable
- Bets you’ve placed. Once a bet is settled (win or lose), the result is final.
- Losses from “I didn’t understand the rules.” The T&C is your problem to read.
- Bonus money you forfeited by withdrawing before wagering complete. That’s documented in the bonus T&C.
- Money lost to a hacked account where you shared OTP / password. The platform considers that user error.
- Money lost to “predictor apps” or “support scams.” Daman didn’t take that money — a third party did.
If your account was compromised

If withdrawals you didn’t authorise happened, that’s NOT a refund — that’s account fraud. Different process:
- Reset password immediately (Settings → Security → Change Password).
- Log out all other sessions.
- Submit support ticket with subject “Unauthorised withdrawals — account compromised”. Include screenshots of the unauthorised transactions.
- File a cybercrime complaint at cybercrime.gov.in or call 1930.
- Contact your bank to report unauthorised UPI transfers within 24 hours — banks have a window to reverse some types of fraud.
Daman’s policy on reimbursing fraud-affected accounts isn’t publicly documented. In practice: hard to recover unless the platform’s own systems were proven negligent (rare).

Can I refund a partial deposit?
Sometimes — depends on the platform’s specific policy. Submit a support ticket asking. The standard response is “refund the whole deposit or none”; partial refunds are case-by-case.
How long does a deposit refund take?
Typically 24–72 hours. The money returns to the original UPI handle the deposit came from. If your UPI app/bank is slow on incoming credits, add another 24 hours to the bank-side settlement.
Can I refund a deposit made via someone else’s UPI?
No — the platform refunds only to the registered UPI handle (matched to your KYC). If you accidentally deposited from a friend’s UPI, that’s a difficult case; submit a ticket but expect rejection.
What if I deposited the wrong amount (e.g., ₹5000 instead of ₹500)?
If within 24 hours and no bets placed, you can request a refund for the difference. After 24 hours or after any bet, the full amount is in play.
Does the platform refund if I lost money to a fake “customer care” scam?
No. The scammer logged into your account and made the transactions; the platform sees them as authorised. Your only recovery path is via your bank (UPI fraud reversal) and cybercrime reporting.
